20th Anniversary

Members would no doubt notice the series of activities which has been organized since mid-2007 to celebrate SHPHK’s 20 years of establishment. With the staging of the 20th Anniversary Gala Dinner on 22nd February 2008 at Club Regency, Hongkong International Trade & Exhibition Centre, Kowloon Bay, all celebratory activities were joyously drawn to a close.

It’s year 2012, in a certain party venue in Hong Kong, SHPHK is celebrating its Silver Jubilee. Hong Kong People is famous for being fast and efficient. We seldom have time to stop and reflect upon on life. It is a wonderful time for us to take short break and review our past challenge and success when we are 20 years coming of age. We have a lot of breakthroughs in many areas in the past twenty years. This commemorative booklet records the thoughts and memories of pharmacists who have been walking along with us in the past 20 years. The commemorative booklet consists of ten stories shared by 10 storytellers.

Dear Members,

With your enthusiastic support, SHPHK is approaching the third decade of its establishment. As part of the 20th Anniversary celebrations, SHPHK has issued a “Heartwarming Stamp Mini-pane Commemoration Series” with two different designs. These mini-panes are for the exclusive order by members and will not be made available to the general public. Members could use the stamps as ordinary postage to show the recipients their dedication to the pharmaceutical profession. The pane also serves as a distinctive souvenir decoration when framed and hung on walls or displayed in your office shelf. Of course, it should become a unique memorable piece of your philatelic items too.

2007 is a special number for SHPHK and its members. Year 2007 is a memorable year for all of us because it is our 20th Birthday! We have already started our celebration series with the Logo and Slogan Design Contests in May. The response was satisfactory and we have received a total of 11 logos and 16 slogans. The judging panel, comprising a professional designer and representatives from the SHPHK, had a hard time in selecting the winner. After thorough consideration, the logo designed by Ms Wong Kit Ting, Janet was chosen and her design will be designated as the official logo for our 20th Anniversary. Janet, who actively participates in various extra curricular activities, is a second year pharmacy student. Janet mentioned that design is one of the great loves of her life.

To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of its establishment, the SHPHK will organize a series of events with the aim to spotlight this extraordinary year and to cultivate a sense of belonging among members. We have already kicked off our celebration with the 20th Anniversary Logo and Slogan Design Contest. We have collected a total of 11 logos and 16 slogans. Judging of the Logo and Slogan Design Contest have commenced on 6 July 2007. The judging panel comprised of design professional and representatives from the SHPHK. The judging panel did have a hard time in selecting the winner.

This year is the 20th anniversary of the SHPHK. It is going to be a phenomenal year for the SHPHK and you, its members. We are going to organize a series of activities to highlight this milestone. The 20th Anniversary Logo and Slogan Contest are on its way. What else will you do to add fun to celebrate your 20th birthday?
