The Emblem

Pharmacy is an integral part in the health care system in a hospital. It works in close coordination with doctors and nurses to provide patient care. The Society's emblem is therefore designed along these lines.

The emblem depicts a dragon at the top which symbolises the orient. In the centre, there is a shield and a cross depicting protection against disease and the medical service. The cross is surrounded by symbols for pharmacy, the medical profession, nursing service and the patient, all being intercommunicable indicating close relationship among the three services in the care of patients. At the bottom, on a banner, is the Society's name.
